Alzhiemers' Association - Central Ohio Chapter  Call the Central Ohio Alzheimer's Association 24-hour help-line 1-800-272-3900 for help and information.

Parkinson's Support Group  The Union County Parkinson's Support Group meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 1:30 pm at Memorial Hospital of Union County 500 London Ave. Marysville. Virginia Phillips, Facilitator (937) 642-9418.  Visit the Central Ohio Parkinson's Society for more information.

 

American Cancer Society  Amy Smothers, a patient navigator with the American Cancer Society holds office hours at Memorial Hospital of Union County.  Amy can help navigate the system and link you with needed programs and resources in Union County including cancer information, support programs, financial aid and insurance assistance, transportation assistance, and home health care resources.

 

Retirement Preparation / Care Planning  Care Choice Ohio is a statewide program that is available to Ohio residents (of any age) that are interested in preparing for retirement, or long-term care for themselves or a loved one. The Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging (COAAA) administers this program by providing information by telephone, mail or an appointment. If requested, a specially trained COAAA staff member can come to your house free of charge to assess and discuss specific needs, circumstances, and explain available services to design a professional care plan.

Parish Nurse and Health Ministries  The Parish Nurse Ministry of Union County is a great resource for information regarding health, wellness, and disease prevention.  Noreen Runyan, the Parish Nurse and Health Ministries Coordinator has an office at the Memorial Hospital of Union County, and can be reached by e-mailing or calling her Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays at (937) 578-2237.  She is able to connect seniors with the health ministries in their own church, or serve as a resource if their church does not have one.
