2012 Healthy Senior Farmers' Market Coupons

 

Union County Senior Services provides financially eligible seniors with coupons that can be redeemed for fresh produce at participating local farm stands and the Farmers' Markets.  Eligible seniors will receive $20 in coupons per month.  Households of two or more seniors will receive $30 per month July-September 2012.  One set of coupons per household.

Qualified applicants are Union County Seniors, age 60+ with a gross one person household income level of less than $1,862/mo, or $2,522/mo for households of two or more (before Medicare, taxes, insurance, etc. is taken out) proof of income is required.
Coupons will be mailed prior to July 1st.  Weekly transportation to local farm stands is available for those who don't drive by calling Sandy at UCATS 937.642.5100 ext 1.
 

This program is funded though the Union County Senior Services Sales Tax.

Senior Services can assist setting up services such as respite for caregivers as well as services for seniors such as personal care, homemaking, personal emergency response systems, friendly visits, utility and medication assistance and grocery shopping for homebound seniors among others. These programs are provided on a sliding fee-scale and are funded by the National Family Caregiver and Title III Grants and the Union County Senior Services Sales Tax.
